We Know You Can't Look Away
Back in 1987 nobody would have ever guessed that a Texan infant would earn such a large space in the media spotlight. Good thing Hilary didn't let that stop her.
Hilary grew up in a modest home in Houston with an older sister. At the age of 6 she had made the decision that she wanted to become an actress. She devoted herself to acting classes and was offered a role in a local commercial which led to a TV movie titled True Women. This happened at the ripe age of 10~!
Her career rook an interesting turn when she was offered the lead role in an animated movie Casper Meets Wendy. SHe was next offered a part in a film titled The Soul Collector which earned her a Young Artist Award for Supporting Young Actress. While it was flattering it did not rocket her career as expected at the time.
Several months later she took a part that would forever change her life. Disney had assigned her the lead role in a new series titled Lizzie Maguire. The show was a smash hit and she became a familiar face to just about everyone with a TV. Disney was so pleased with her work that they created a full feature movie version that was also a success at the box office.
While most actresses at this stage would remain focused on acting, Hilary decided to follow another path. She decided to try her hand at a music career. Her positive performances at this point should have come as no surprise to anyone. She contributed a song to the Lizzie Maguire soundtrack and it quickly became popular with young girls. Her next album, Metamorphosis, was such a hit that it encouraged a world wide tour which recruited members tot he Duff Army from all corners of the globe.
With an active music and acting career, it's no surprise that Hilary is busy these days. She's entertaining offers for some of Hollywood's top roles and has yet another album in the works. And let's not forget her new clothing line as well. Where does she find the time and energy to be so successful. We pledge allegiance to the Duff Army~!
